Pleasant Bay is a beautiful inland waterway protected from the Atlantic Ocean by a barrier beach which provides a perfect environment for a day of kayaking. The bay is over 7000 acres of estuaries, marshes and coves bordered by the National Seashore and contains several beautiful islands. Pleasant bay is one of the most biologically diverse and productive marine habitats on the east coast. This adventure will take us island hopping through the bay where we can observe the marine inhabitants and just soak in the natural beauty and tranquility of the bay.  We will aim for a lunch on the National Seashore when possible. We launch from several different sites and follow different routes based on weather, tides and group experience level.  This is a full day tour and generally running 6 hours.  We will paddle in open water and possibly strong currents. We classify this as an intermediate tour with experience required. Please bring a lunch and plenty of water!
