Too Many Coyotes On The Cape???

If you talk to the so-called experts, they say less then 100 coyotes exist over the Cape Cod bridges.  If this is so, then why have over 100 been taken by just three people so far this year?  Obviously there is a problem. Not to mention cats, dogs and several children have been attacked in the past  few years.  These animals are a nuisance and are out of control.

HELLO! Here is a picture of an at least one-month-old fawn being carried off, caught on a deer cam on June 7th.  Who is the real Bambi killer?   Well folks, in color live the truth.  Notice the ears erect.  This critter is still alive.  Show all your so called anti hunter or boarder line fence sitters the truth in living color, a real picture of the truth.  An arrow, slug or bullet dispatch a deer in a much more humane way then a coyote carrying a fawn for who knows how far and arriving at the den as 4-6 hungry pups eat it alive.  This is Mother Nature’s cruel facts of life.  The truth is it’s just “ Coyote Ugly.”  We as sportsman and women support our sport clear and simple from all of our self imposed taxes and surcharges on licenses and equipment.  We support the Fish and Wildlife and Marine Fisheries by these fees.  We support all of the land purchases, habitant and sources of all creatures in the North American continent and beyond.  We set bag limits hunting seasons and all aspects of the harvest thru the hundreds of organized sporting organizations in state and across the country.  If it wasn’t for sportsmen and women there would be no ospreys, eagles, songbirds, or other animals for all to enjoy, because no one else pays the mother load for their existence.  Be proud that you contribute to such a vast majority of conservation of all the fish and other wildlife through your normal purchases of licenses and equipment.  You should be even more proud if you belong to a club or are an officer and spend some or a lot of your time voicing what needs to be heard.  Without sportsman and women natures bounty would be a disaster.  It is up to us because all who appose us pay and give nothing back to the creatures they say are so much of a concern to them.  The only thing these organizations do is pay themselves huge salaries by showing a dog in a trap (probably staged by them) so they can collect signatures and money fooling people who don’t really know.  Because of their wicked and unjustifiable ploys beavers, fox, coyotes, coons, and bears are out of control in this state. Just like California mountain lions are killing people, and I guess once a few kids are killed here people who still sell this baloney of trapping and hound hunting being in humane will realize that’s the only way we can co exist with these creatures, keep them from disease and becoming so populated that it is just a matter of time before a human conflict occurs.  This article may offend a few.  A few who know not how cruel Mother Nature can be, by eating fawns alive.  We as sportsman dispatch our quarry quickly and extremely humanly in comparison.  We are predators; our eyes are in front of our head.  Its not our fault we hunt, we are born to hunt, just as killer whales, eagles, hawks, lions etc. were.  It’s our instinct to hunt and if we do not hunt then there are those who prey on their fellow man instead.   In summary I am proud to be hunter and fisherman as my father and his father before him was.  I eat the animals I kill, I use their skins, I use their bones, and I mount them to remember the beauty of the animals’ existence and the respect for their feeding my family and my ancestors before me.  If my ancestors never hunted or fished our existence as we know it would not be.  We would be extinct.  Think about that.  The only reason anti hunters are alive is because our ancestors hunted and fished to keep our species alive so they could protest what has allowed them to be alive today.  It just doesn’t make any sense.  I love hunting, I love fishing, and I love reality.

All the best,

Dennis “BOOMER” Hayden
